How India plans to celebrate International Yoga Day on June 21, 2017

In the Year 2014, the United Nations declared the International Day of Yoga on June 21st. This has been supported by around 190 countries. The first International Yoga Day celebration occurred last year on a massive scale, in which, along with the whole world, India was also included. For celebrating the International Yoga Festival in India, the government is planning allegedly for dedicate almost 100 parks all over the country for the activities of Yoga to promote the practice.

The main event of the International Yoga Day 2017 will be hosted in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, on June 21st. In the event being held in Lucknow, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be participating at Ramabai Ambedkar Maidan. The yoga festival day was planned by Modi in such a way that on Sunday, the day will be inclined by yoga and have attracted the families in posting their pictures since three generations while performing the asanas all together on the occasion of this third international yoga day. To give the occasion a new facet, he asked them to upload the pictures on the app of Narendra Modi or MyGov. The yoga should be performed by the grandparents, parents, and children and eventually upload the pictures. This would be the appropriate blend of past, present and future by giving a new facet to yoga. In addition to this, he stated that these pictures will be proof of a brighter future.

During the Rishikesh International Yoga Day festival, the place is occupied by various individuals from all over the world. In this mega event of an international day of Yoga, at least 150 countries are expected to take part, in the Indian Missions will be coordinating with the activities. At some of the major landmarks, such as Central Park in New York, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, and Trafalgar Square in London, it is reported that Yoga Day will be observed. In the field of Yoga, the supremacy of India is being acknowledged by the world, which is not an exaggeration. All over the globe, IDY has been celebrated with the active participation of over 190 countries for the last two years.

At this event, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, senior ministers, the prime minister and the gurus of Yoga, along with approximately 51000 people, are expected to take part in the festival that is being held in Lucknow. In Delhi, at different places in association with DDA, NDMC, and the organisations of Yoga, seven main events are being planned.
